Grimm's 60 Wooden Geo Blocks Coloured
Grimm's 60 colourful geometrical building blocks are a versatile natural toy that will awaken your child's imagination and creativity. In early ages, children learn how to build towers, and love to knock them over to laugh and start again, while pots can be filled with them and emptied out. From 3 years on, when children start to develop imaginary games, the blocks become houses and landscapes.
Building blocks promote motor skills, creativity, and colour and shape perception. Grimm's building blocks are individually cut by hand and do not have sharp edges or corners. Since they are dyed and finished with natural oils, and not painted, they keep the look and feel of real wood.
Grimm's wooden geo blocks are conveniently packaged in a net.

Made in Germany
All Grimm's toys are produced and hand painted in small factories within Germany and Bosnia. Each item is produced with lots of care and anyone that has ever held a Grimm's toy in their hands will understand their slogan: "Joy through colours"! Grimm's develops toys that help children discover their own creativity through simple and reduced shapes that leave room for independent arrangement. Many of Grimm's toys integrate Waldorf and Montessori aspects in their design. Grimm's are one of Europe's most beloved companies for natural toys. Ava's Appletree is proud to offer Grimm's toys now to parents in Canada.
Grimm’s Product Care
Grimm’s stands for quality and longevity. When making our toys, Grimm's Toys carefully selects the wood without defects. At each step, the quality of the wood is checked. But wood lives and responds to air changes. Wood is a natural product and not indestructible, so we can not rule out that something could break. If something breaks, you can repair the piece with wood glue.
Children may be advised and prompted to use caution with their special toys.
If you want to remove dirt from Grimm's products, simply wipe with a damp cloth and some soapy water (if necessary). When drying, please do not place on the heater, otherwise cracks may occur in the wood, but allow to dry at room temperature. Please never clean our products with disinfectant, hot water or similar!
GRIMM'S MANUFACTURING
Grimm's is a family owned and sustainably managed manufacturer, which produces high quality and safe wooden toys made to officially certified standards. In product development, Grimm's Toys is guided by the principles of Waldorf education and other educational approaches, such as Montessori. All their products are tested regularly and comply with the European Toy Safety Standard (EN 71) and US standards.
Grimm's products always have unique traces of nature. With a few exceptions, everything is sanded and cut by hand. The company uses FSC certified alder, lime, beech and maple wood. Woodworking is outsourced to small independent companies in Europe. The largest of these producers has learned his trade working in our company in Germany. At the company's headquarter, new products are developed, and products are oiled, dipped in colour, assembled, quality checked, packaged and shipped all over the world.
UNIQUE MARKINGS
We love wood because it is a natural material so it always has various markings that show up in our products. The unique variations are proof of quality, not defects. For example, dark spots on the rainbow are caused by mineral deposits. This means that if the tree had grown further, a branch would have developed at this point. Black stripes are also something completely natural. This is the pith tube or "heart of the tree". It differs from the surrounding wood by the darker colour and structure. When working on the wood, it can become completely or partially visible. This feature is part of the natural appearance of the wood. Therefore, these are not defects for us, but quality features of a natural product and as such are desired and welcomed by us. We love this uniqueness of wood!
PAINTED BY HAND
All rainbow friends and decorative figures are hand-painted and decorated in the most loving detail. In assembly and packaging, Grimm's work in part with workshops for adults with special needs in Germany.
OUR COLOURS
The bright colour glaze and plant oils preserve the living surface of the wood in structure and feel. The result is a rough and yet velvety wooden surface, which contributes to a greater play value, because the individual pieces do not slip off so easily. Grimm's Toys use glazing colours and vegetable oil for our products. Their colours are water-based, non-toxic and saliva-fast. Of course, all colours and oils are certified according to the European toy safety standard (EN 71).

Great Quality!
These blocks are fantastic for building sturdy towers. We just got them and my kids really enjoyed stacking them.

We love these blocks!
My husband and I play with them as much as my son does! And I love how well they pair with the other Grimms toys we have (rainbow stacker, conical tower, wooden balls). We got these for my son's 1st birthday, and I can tell we'll get years and years of play out of them.

Wonderful first block set
I got this set for my 18 month old and it's been great so far. The non-slick natural finish makes them so much easier to stack than glossier wooden blocks we already owned. And while my toddler is definitely interested in them, right now I think I'm having even more fun building towers and little scenes for him to destroy! It's a good size set - I think 30 alone would be too few, but 60 gives enough to be creative. I suspect these will have a very long life of use in our house.
